Repetition workout

Hoy antes de salir empezo a llover, so pense que mi workout estaba saboteado, pero paro de una vez y me fui a hacer mi Repetition workout a las 3:30 p.m., calente hacia el conservatorio, le di una vuelta hasta que tenia 15 mins, luego empeze mi workout que hoy consistia en 15 x 45 seconds with 90 seconds rest, felt good, a bit tired and had to concentrate at the end to maintain the rhythm. Nice workout, no hice mucho cool down, de hecho parte de la ultima repeat la hice afuera del conservatorio ya cuando venia para mi casa, le di 7 vueltas para un total de 9.53k en 53:55. Nice workout, I hope that leg speed come around very good in my next race.

  1. Sounds like a great workout -- 15 is a lot both mentally and physically -- but it will serve you well at the end of your 5k. Do you mostly use a time rather than a distance to set your intervals? I think it's a wise approach -- it's so easy to get wrapped up in hitting distance splits instead of simply feeling the right pace.
